Data center project in Columbiana among new $1M+ building permits

A major AI data center project by US Data Centers, a subsidiary of Digihost Technology Inc., is underway in Columbiana, Shelby County, Alabama. The project involves converting an existing bitcoin mining facility into a 55MW Tier 3 data center for AI workloads. A $7 million building permit was recently issued for the initial phase of the $440 million development.
