Amazon announces $6B data center investment in Shreveport
Amazon Web Services announced a $6 billion investment for a third data center campus in Shreveport, Louisiana, bringing its total regional investment to $18 billion. The project, located at Resilient Technology Park, is expected to create 210 direct jobs. Construction was previously delayed by litigation, which remains ongoing in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, though Amazon is moving forward with the announcement. Amazon plans significant investments in public water and energy infrastructure to support its facilities.
