Flint City Council in Michigan has enacted a 12-month moratorium on new data center developments to study their environmental and economic impacts. The decision, driven by concerns over high electricity and water consumption, comes as data centers are rapidly expanding across the U.S. due to AI demand. Flint is already home to an OTAVA data center.
