Data center developer seeking rezoning in Vance

Natelli Holdings, a Maryland-based developer, has filed a rezoning request in Vance County, North Carolina to change a 40-acre parcel from Employment and Institutional to Light Industrial. The Planning Board has approved the request, and the County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on April 6 to make the final decision. Residents have expressed concerns over the possibility of a data center being built on the site, citing high power and water usage as well as noise. Natelli previously faced community opposition for a proposed data center in Apex, North Carolina, and later withdrew that plan.
