'Biggest meeting ever': Data center development concerns take over Marshall meeting

A large crowd of residents attended a development meeting in Marshall, Michigan to voice concerns about a proposed data center and gas generation plant project that was not even on the meeting agenda. The Local Development Finance Authority had unanimously voted to enter into a purchase agreement with Alterra Development for land inside the Brooks Industrial Park, but many residents say they were only recently made aware of the plan and are calling for greater transparency and communication.
