Data center, gas generation plant proposed in Marshall

A development company has entered into a purchase agreement with the City of Marshall for land to build a technology park, which is planned to include a gas generation plant and data center. Marshall City Manager Derek Perry confirmed to News Channel 3 that Alterra Development is now undergoing due diligence studies on the proposal inside the Brooks Industrial Park. At a meeting on Oct. 30, the Local Development Finance Authority (LDFA) unanimously authorized the sale of 270 acres of land for $1.12 million, which includes 112 buildable acres.
