Hayward Latest to Weigh Data Center Moratorium

Hayward City Council is set to consider a 45-day emergency moratorium on new data center developments amid concerns about electricity demand, water consumption, utility rates and renewable-energy capacity. The proposed pause follows a staff study directive and could eventually be extended for up to two years.
