Opposition to proposed data center at NAVWAR site

The Manchester Group is conducting early due diligence on a potential 400-megawatt data center at the Navy-owned NAVWAR site in San Diego's Midway District, though the company says no negotiations or agreements are in place. San Diego officials and residents are opposing the concept over grid impacts, electricity costs and environmental concerns, while Mayor Todd Gloria and Councilman Sean Elo-Rivera plan to propose a temporary moratorium and data center safeguards.
