‘Dairyland, not data land’: Wisconsinites continue to protest data center projects
In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a group of business leaders gathered to discuss the economic opportunities of data center developments in the state. At the same time, a group of protesters gathered outside to push back against the growth of data centers, arguing that they don't belong in Wisconsin towns. Supporters of the data center projects say they will boost economic development, grow communities' tax revenue, and create jobs, while opponents are concerned about the potential negative impacts of the developments.
