Construction begins on first hyper-scale data center in Pima County

Construction has begun on Project Blue, the first hyper-scale data center in Pima County, Arizona, despite ongoing protests from residents concerned about energy and water usage. The Pima County Board of Supervisors approved the land sale in June, and the Arizona Corporation Commission later voted to allow the project to proceed after the City of Tucson had initially voted to stop work.
