TECO unveils data center plan, says it’ll shield residents from costs

Tampa Electric Co. filed a proposal with state regulators describing how it would handle growing interest from data center companies in its service area. CEO Archie Collins said the plan is intended to prevent existing customers from bearing the costs associated with serving new data centers.
