Rural township extends pause on data centers following controversial Meta-backed project

Howell Township, Michigan, has extended its data center moratorium for another six months, following a controversial proposal for a hyperscale data center reportedly backed by Meta. The extension allows the township to continue drafting a local ordinance to regulate data centers.
