Jay Select Board approves town meeting warrant, backs data center plan

The Jay Select Board approved a town meeting warrant and voted to support a plan for a data center at the former Androscoggin Mill site. This project by JGT2 Redevelopment LLC faces a threat from a proposed state bill, L.D. 307, which would impose a moratorium on data center permits. The board will send a letter to the Legislature advocating for an exemption for the Jay project.
