Data centers should pay costs for electricity, older Oklahomans tell AARP$
A new AARP survey indicates that 92% of Oklahomans aged 50 and older believe elected officials should ensure residential customers are not burdened with additional costs for large new data centers. The survey also found that 86% of respondents believe data center companies, not homeowners, should cover these electricity costs. Google is committing to pay 100% of the costs to connect its data center sites to the grid.
