Residents attend Hill County data center meetings

Hill County residents attended public meetings hosted by the Hill County Court and Hillsboro Economic Development Corporation to discuss proposed data center developments. Residents voiced strong opposition due to concerns about health impacts, wildlife, and significant water consumption, while the county works on potential tax breaks for developers. The Hillsborough EDC extended Providence's contract by four months to allow time for a new strategy and city approval.
