Mercer County denies data center set to be built on Shaker Village land

Mercer County's fiscal court has denied an ordinance that would have allowed Panattoni Data to build a massive data center on land encroaching on the historic Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill. The Shaker Village opposed selling the land, and the fiscal court sent the ordinance back to planning and zoning for further work on regulations.
