Killeen holds meeting on new data center project

The Killeen Planning and Zoning Commission is currently holding a public hearing regarding a conditional use permit for a new $30 million data center project proposed by On Mine. The company plans to build a 2.5-acre facility on South Fort Hood Street, asserting it will not use municipal water and will operate as a virtual power plant. The Killeen City Council is set to vote on the project in June.
