Camdenton issues 12-month data center moratorium, rescinds Opportunity Zone support

The city of Camdenton has issued a 12-month moratorium on data centers and rescinded its support for an Opportunity Zone that was to include a data center. This decision followed a public meeting with high attendance and aims to allow the city time to draft ordinances to prevent future data centers within city limits. Camden County Commission and Missouri Representative Jeff Vernetti also withdrew support for the Opportunity Zone.
