Woodbury County, Iowa, Supervisors Explore Data Center Moratorium

The Woodbury County Board of Supervisors is exploring a one-year moratorium on data center development in unincorporated parts of the county after residents voiced concerns about a potential project in Salix. This moratorium would allow the supervisors time to develop specific regulations for future data center development, as the county currently lacks them. The board also requested its attorney to investigate the annexation process for the Salix project to ensure compliance with Iowa Code.
