McPherson County officials want legal assurances on data center pledges$

The McPherson County Planning and Zoning Board deferred action on a conditional use permit for the proposed 50-megawatt Leola Data Center. The board postponed the vote pending legal agreements regarding financial contributions from the company for local schools and first responders. The data center is planned for about 9 acres and would use water equivalent to a four-person household.
