Spotsylvania Planning Commission approves mega data center complex

The Spotsylvania County Planning Commission has recommended approval for a 555-acre data center campus, known as Crossroads Technology Campus, for Amazon Web Services. Despite resident concerns over noise, environmental impacts, and property values, the commission voted 4-2 in favor, forwarding the project to the Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors for a final vote. Residents are now urging the Board of Supervisors to impose a moratorium on data center developments.
