Lehigh Valley community reschedules data center agreement discussion after overflow crowd forces cancelation
Upper Mount Bethel Township has rescheduled a meeting to discuss a data center agreement after an overcapacity crowd forced its cancellation. The proposed deal, drafted by developers, would end a legal challenge to township zoning laws and include up to $50 million in nonprofit donations in exchange for zoning changes and project approval. Residents from both Upper and Lower Mount Bethel Townships express concerns about the strain on water and power resources from data center development.
