Local judges diverge on data center project's future

Two Imperial County Superior Court Judges issued conflicting rulings regarding the proposed Imperial Valley Data Center. One judge ruled the county's temporary moratorium on data center development unconstitutional, while another judge determined the project is not exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review. The county is reviewing the decisions and considering a new moratorium.
