PUC to hold public hearings on proposed water service expansion for Luzerne Co data center

The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) will hold public hearings on a proposal to expand water service in Luzerne County for a planned data center. NorthPoint Development's "Project Hazelnut" faces community opposition and legal/zoning challenges regarding its environmental and infrastructure impacts. The hearings will gather public input on Greater Hazleton CAN DO Inc.'s application to extend its water service area.
