Beacon Center sues over data center ban

The Beacon Center of Tennessee has filed a lawsuit on behalf of Exotic Ridge Crypto Company, challenging a data center ban in Hawkins County. The suit argues the ban, enacted last September, is unlawful, arbitrary, and unconstitutional. County leaders justified the ban by citing high electricity usage, noise, and a lack of economic benefit.
