Unknown plans for an underwater data center in Cook Inlet

Deep Green Holdings has proposed an underwater AI data center in Cook Inlet powered by as many as 350 tidal turbines. Local officials and environmental advocates, including the Center for Biological Diversity, are concerned about impacts on endangered Cook Inlet beluga whales, salmon and the inadequacy of existing regulations, while the group has moved to intervene before federal energy regulators.
