A coalition of energy and infrastructure companies plans a $100 billion AI data center and power-generation campus at the U.S. Department of Energy's Paducah Site in Kentucky. The project, involving Brookfield, NextEra Energy, and local utilities, is expected to create 8,000 construction jobs and 600 full-time operations jobs. It will support up to 1.8 gigawatts of utility capacity and 1.2 gigawatts of computing capacity, featuring new natural gas generation and battery storage.
