The Spalding County Board of Commissioners' zoning public hearing for the proposed 75 South Data Center Campus has been postponed. According to Spalding County Community Development Director David Allen, the four zoning applications related to the data center will now be heard on Thursday, June 25, instead of the originally planned May 28.

The applicant, Industrial VI Enterprises LLC, requested the continuance, though no reason was provided for the delay. The proposed 75 South Data Center Campus is planned for 292.41 acres at 1221 Tomochichi Road and an adjacent parcel, north of state Route 16. The project by Industrial VI Enterprises LLC, with LBM Associates as the property owner, includes seven two-story buildings totaling 2.24 million square feet and a separate power station.

Industrial VI Enterprises LLC is seeking a Future Land Use Map amendment to reclassify the property from Towaliga Residential Area to the AKB Employment Corridor. Additionally, the company is requesting a rezoning from AR-1 and R-2 to C-1C, a special exception for a data center campus in C-1C zoning, and variances for an exclusion of data centers in the S-4 Sensitive Land Wetlands Protection District and for a maximum building height of 70 feet in C-1C zoning.
