Meet Brittany Erickson, the Democratic candidate for State Representative District 92
Brittany Erickson, the Democratic candidate for Iowa House District 92, supports a statewide moratorium on new data centers to give residents time to evaluate their impacts. She also favors legislation making local moratoriums easier to establish and requiring data centers to pay for all of their own utilities.
Brittany Erickson, the Democratic candidate for Iowa House District 92, said the state should impose a moratorium on new data center development while Iowans decide how such facilities should be regulated. Her district includes Washington County and portions of Johnson County, and she is seeking office in the November 3 election.
Erickson also supports legislation that would make it easier for communities to adopt local moratoriums and would require data centers to cover all of their utility costs. Her comments appeared in KCRG's statewide candidate voting guide.
