The Louisville Planning Commission held a meeting to discuss a second round of revisions to the city's proposed data center regulations. Key changes include increasing the minimum distance a large data center must be from any school, daycare, or residential home.

The commissioners also supported maintaining the maximum noise level for data centers at 65 decibels. Chair DeAndre Sistrunk emphasized the importance of community input, stating a desire for laws that allow the community to vote on every data center project.

The commission's decisions are not yet final. They plan to continue their discussion on September 3rd before sending the updated regulations to the full Metro Council for further consideration.
