The city is currently assessing the feasibility and impact of providing reclaimed water for cooling the facility.
City officials have met with the project proponent multiple times but have made no decisions. They have requested a 12-month analysis report from an independent engineering firm to examine potential impacts and the viability of the city providing reclaimed water, as well as potable water and sewer services from the City of Spokane. The project proponent has agreed to cover the full cost of the $163,800 analysis.
The Airway Heights City Council is scheduled to consider whether to proceed with this analysis during an August meeting.
