The Linn Creek Board of Aldermen held a public hearing on developer Blake Hodits' request to annex 1,931 acres, which would more than triple the city's land area. Although the development is no longer pursuing a data center, residents raised concerns about future data center development after the city's one-year moratorium expires.

The Linn Creek Board of Aldermen held a public hearing on a voluntary annexation petition from developer Blake Hodits covering 1,931 acres. If approved, the annexation would expand the city from 832 acres to 2,763 acres. Hodits said the development vision includes education, housing and year-round employment, but that specific plans remain flexible and would still require standard zoning and permitting approvals.

The project was previously linked to discussions about a data center, but Hodits told KRCG that it is moving forward without one and is not seeking data center approval. Residents, including Paul Imhoff, sought assurances that the annexation would not eventually enable a data center after Linn Creek's one-year data center moratorium expires, while other residents and Mayor Jeff Davis supported the growth opportunity. The board planned to vote on the annexation in October.
