Pennsylvania House Energy Committee advances 2 bills regulating data centers

The Pennsylvania House Energy Committee voted Monday morning to advance two bills aimed at increasing transparency and local protection from data centers. The first bill, House Bill 2150, would require data centers to report how much energy and water they consume annually. Meanwhile, House Bill 2151 would allow the state to offer a model data center ordinance for municipalities.
