Southwest Las Vegas Warehouse to Become Fitness Facility, Not Data Center
A warehouse in Southwest Las Vegas, initially suspected by a resident to be a data center, has been confirmed by Clark County to be a fitness and wellness facility named Life Muse. The county's planning department completed its review, and construction for the gym is ongoing.
A warehouse under construction in Southwest Las Vegas, near Warm Springs and Durango, sparked concern from local resident Jeff Tellin, who suspected it might be a data center. Tellin, having lived in the area for two decades, investigated the property after noticing the development and found a connection to a company he associated with data centers.
Worried about potential issues like noise and decreased property values if a data center were to be built, Tellin contacted KTNV's 'Call 13 for Action' team. The team then reached out to Clark County officials for clarification.
The county confirmed that the property, listed in records under Meyers Property LLC, is indeed a fitness and wellness facility named Life Muse, not a data center. The plans for the facility include a second floor, an elevator, and stairs. The Clark County planning department has completed its review, and construction for the fitness center is continuing. While the immediate data center concern was resolved, Tellin still expressed frustration about the development impacting the neighborhood.
