The Vonore Planning Commission recently convened at the Vonore Community Center to consider amendments to zoning ordinances pertaining to potential future AI data centers. During the meeting, approximately five to six community members voiced their concerns regarding these developments.

While no immediate zoning changes were enacted following the meeting, Commissioners urged residents to attend the upcoming city council meeting to reiterate their concerns. Officials stated there are currently no plans for a data center to be built in the area, but they emphasized the importance of establishing regulations and standard changes proactively, in anticipation of potential future developments.
