The Bradford County Commissioners' office in Pennsylvania is set to host a public meeting on March 23 at the Wyalusing Valley Junior/Senior High School Auditorium to discuss the implications of AI data centers. The meeting aims to inform the public about the economic, environmental, and land-use impacts of these facilities. The event will feature a panel of experts including Michael Turner, Vice Chair of the Loudoun County (Va.) Board of Supervisors, who chairs environmental and energy committees and comes from a region known as a major data center market. Patrick Murray, Chief of Staff to Frederick County (Md.) Executive Jessica Fitzwater, will also speak, bringing experience from a county recognized as "Data Center Alley." Tom Beresnyak, Senior Educator with Penn State’s Extension Energy Team, will provide insights on science-based educational outreach regarding land development. The meeting will include a formal presentation, a Q&A segment, and a public comment session. Community members also have the option to submit comments via email by March 23.
