Evan Trubee Seeks Second Term in Palm Desert
Palm Desert City Council candidate Evan Trubee said data centers are not currently allowed under the city’s zoning regulations and that he expects them to remain prohibited. In an election questionnaire, he also discussed city finances, public safety, infrastructure and economic growth.
Palm Desert City Council candidate Evan Trubee said he would not expect data centers to be approved in the city because they are not currently permitted under Palm Desert’s zoning regulations. He told Uken Report that he anticipates the restriction will remain in place, amid broader regional debate over data center development.
Trubee, seeking a second term, also addressed the city’s projected operating deficits, saying officials should focus on controlling spending rather than creating new revenue sources. He pointed to expected retail growth in North Palm Desert and said the city’s financial projections are conservative on revenue and more pessimistic on expenses.
