Thieves have targeted a data center construction site in Culpeper County three times, stealing more than $200,000 worth of copper piping and a large number of power tools. The Culpeper County Sheriff's Office is seeking information about two masked suspects believed to be responsible.
The Culpeper County Sheriff's Office is investigating three overnight thefts at a data center construction site near Germanna Highway. More than $200,000 in copper piping was stolen during the first incident, followed by the theft of power tools in two later incidents.
Sheriff Timothy Chilton said surveillance footage shows two masked and gloved men returning to the site and using cut gates or fencing to gain access. Detective Millson is leading the investigation, and authorities are asking the public to report information about the suspects or unusually cheap offers for copper and power tools.
