A proposed data center on approximately 500 acres in Page, Arizona, is drawing opposition from local residents and communities within the Navajo Nation. Page City Council member Tom Prellor said public sentiment is overwhelmingly against the project, while Lechee Chapter Manager Renee Tsosie said water availability is the community’s primary concern amid existing water access problems.

The property was sold by the Page City Council to a private developer, but the project has not received final approval. It still requires rezoning and a general plan amendment before a formal vote, which is expected in 2027. Residents will have an opportunity to comment at a public meeting scheduled for Oct. 28, while opponents have also organized protests and a petition seeking to halt the project.
