In other key races, incumbent Bryan Lewis overwhelmingly defeated former Rochester City Mayor Ted Denton in the Republican contest for District 2 county commissioner, earning a spot on the November ballot. For the Republican County Council District 1 seat, Matt Finke unseated incumbent Councilman Pete Karas by a narrow margin.
