Lowell residents react after township board votes against data center moratorium

-About 120 people attended a Lowell Township Board of Trustees regular meeting, where members voted against a second reading of an ordinance that would have imposed a temporary moratorium on data centers, on Monday, May 18 at the high school performing arts center.
Before the vote, most in attendance spoke in favor of the measure, while only a few expressed opposition. After the vote, some in the crowd shouted comments such as “shame” and “revote” as many walked out in apparent disapproval.
