Joliet City Council to vote on possible development of state's largest data center

The Joliet City Council is set to vote on a proposal for the state's largest data center project. The data center would be built just outside of the Joliet city limits, at the intersection of South and West Bernard Roads. H W Technology Park Development is seeking an annexation and development agreement from the city council to move forward with the 795-acre project. If approved, construction on the massive data center would begin in 2027. Tonight's city council vote is a critical step in the approval process for the proposed data center development. The outcome of the vote will determine whether the project can proceed.
