A multi-million dollar RV park with room for nearly 1,000 units could soon break ground in West Central Texas, designed to house workers tied to a $25-billion data center nearby. The project, called Cottages at the Frontier, would create about 945 RV spaces across 109 acres in Abilene, Texas. It is specifically meant for workers connected to Vantage Data Center's $25 billion Frontier campus, which the company estimates will employ about 5,000 people. The site plans for the RV park include additional amenities like a dog park, workout facilities, pickleball and volleyball courts, barbecue pavilions, and green space. However, not everybody nearby is thrilled about the project. Residents have expressed concerns about traffic, water usage, and increased industrialization in the area. Construction on the RV park could start soon and run through August.
