According to reporting by List Coast Outpost, Virginia-based company EdgeConneX purchased the former Nilsen Feed Company property on 11th Street in Arcata and announced plans to convert one of the buildings into a data center — specifically a cable landing station that serves as the terminal for transpacific fiber optic lines running between the California coast and Singapore.
