Gov: Madison County Quorum Court

Madison County officials have enacted a three-year moratorium on new data centers, digital asset mining businesses, and other large-scale computer or server operations. The Madison County Quorum Court approved the measure during its August 17th meeting.

The moratorium is set to remain in effect through August 31, 2029. County officials stated that the purpose of this pause is to provide them with sufficient time to study the burgeoning industry and to develop comprehensive regulations for any future projects.
