Kristen O'Neill, CEO of Turin Management, which owns the former Remington site in question, issued a statement clarifying that no data center end user is currently committed or involved with the property, and no specific project has been proposed for evaluation. O'Neill explained that Turin Management is exploring both manufacturing and data center options for the challenging site, citing contamination, deteriorating buildings, and high cleanup costs as significant hurdles. The company indicated a preference for manufacturing but acknowledged the difficulty of attracting such a venture. The timeline for bringing the proposed moratorium back for a vote remains unknown.
