Athol residents to vote on data center moratorium

Athol residents are scheduled to vote Monday at a Special Town Meeting on whether to impose a temporary moratorium on data centers. The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at Athol Town Hall.

The proposed moratorium would give the Athol Board of Planning and Community Development time to study data center development and prepare regulations for consideration. Other routine items are also on the meeting agenda.
