Piqua City Commissioners Frank DeBrosse, William Walker and James Vetter face a possible recall election after supporting plans for a data center in Piqua. The commissioners continue to defend the project, citing construction and permanent jobs, tax revenue for the city and schools, and potential improvements to public safety services.

Opponents Jeremy Cox and Charles Cromley said concerns about the data center’s potential effect on electric bills and the local water supply motivated the recall effort. Nearly 770 people had voted in the special election by Friday, with Ohio early voting scheduled to continue through Sunday.
