Skagit Co. temporarily bans A.I. data centers

Commissioners in Skagit County, Washington, have enacted a six-month moratorium on the construction of AI data centers. The temporary ban applies to unincorporated areas of the county and was approved following discussions about the rapid development of artificial intelligence infrastructure. This measure will allow the county to review and potentially revise its regulations pertaining to data center developments.
