After searching for the right site across Alabama for nearly a year, a Houston-based real estate developer settled on a rural area in Lowndes County for its future $1.5 billion artificial intelligence data center.
It’s called Project Red Clay, a proposal from Cloverleaf Infrastructure that would span 800 acres in Hayneville.
The company is hosting an open house-style meeting at Hayneville Middle School on Wednesday between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. About a dozen company representatives, plus local experts, will be available to answer questions on specific subjects related to the project and the data center industry.
